Bandit is singing for his Dinner :)
Here are some ideas for making some doe for your dinner!

Make cash money in one day when you need it:
We have all been there and lately I have been there all too often. So I decided to make a list of how I could make Money when I was desperate. These are tried and tested tips about making money that work. :)

Tip:1 This is an easy one, cut grass depending on the size of the lawn you can make 5$ to 20$ +Cash money.

Tip: 2 In the winter time shovel sidewalks or driveways. I have made 5$ to $20 this way also and have kept some of my neighbors asking to do other odd jobs as well.

Tip:3 There usually are Elderly people in your neighborhoods that need rides to doctors’ appointments or you can do their grocery shopping . This is a great job and when you add light house- keeping you will find yourself asked again and again to come back for $40 and a ten dollar tip. Don’t forget to take out the garbage.

Tip:4 In my neighborhood people’s house numbers were hard to see at night for deliveries. So I made $1 a number to stencil the house number on the curb in front of their houses. They never missed a pizza or received a cold one again. This does need permission to do this. You cannot paint the number than expect to get paid.

Tip: 5 Babysitting jobs today rack in $10-$20 dollars a night or even more. This is a great job to have fun with the kids and get paid.

Tip:6 Pet sitting makes even more money. I know people that have got upwards of $60 a night for cat sitting. People are not allowed poets in Hotel rooms so this is a really good job to make the money in one day.

Tip: 7 Dog walking gets you good money especially if you walk more than one dog at as time. People are too busy these days and will pay a trusted dog walker $20 to entertain their pet when they are at work.

Tip:8 Taking Photographs of people (tourists) that come to events in your+hometown. People love to have their picture taken. Just get their email address and email their picture to them for $10.

Tip:9 Deliver groceries . We have one grocery store that will hand pick groceries for seniors and then delivers them. Ask them to call you if their delivery person doesn’t show up. You will get $5 a delivery and who knows maybe they will like you better and hire you on.
Tip: 10 Give a canoe ride for $16 on your home town river. This is a tricky one make sure you know the water safety rules and have enough safety jackets for each person in the canoe.

If you think about there are hundreds of ways to make money when you need it fast. These are just a few tips that I have tried when my wallet is dusty. Have a good day and thanks a lot for reading. :)

Frugal Do It Yourself Bedroom Decorating

A lot of my decorating in my Apartment is from found objects. I usually pick treasures up while driving around ,doing my chores.

Wow. What amazing results.

Someone will put objects on the curb for free that I find or I have tried dumpster diving but I'm getting a bit old for that.
You don't have to go right in the dumpster, people put the good stuff, beside the dumpster. For some reason they can't seem to throw it away, if they think somebody can use it. This is a great idea:)
My bedroom you see here is all done in blues. The can of Country Blue paint I bought at a yard sale for 50 cents. I painted only the wall behind the bed. The bedspread... I made from patches of old blue jeans and sewed them onto a navy blue Martha Stewart sheet, I bought from a thrift shop for a dollar.
On the side table, is a lamp I found at the thrift store for $3.00 that I painted ,the shade blue, to match. Yes you can paint the shades instead of trying to find one to match the color of the room. The side table a friend gave to me instead of throwing it away. I painted the doors blue and the tile ,I put on the top ,came from another friends swimming pool, that was left over when they were finished with the pool. A Frugal Lifestyle can be fun when ,you decorate from your imagination, and stamp your personality into your living space. This looks great don't you think :)

Cork Craft Bird House and Pig Roast

Do you wish to build your own Wine bottle cork birdhouse? It is so easy.

Hi... Have you been keeping cool like I have with glasses of wine over ice? This is the hottest summer, breaking records from way back.

I went to my Brother's Retirement Pig Roast Saturday , it rained buckets of water on us. We all had a great time under the tents. We got soaking wet, when someone reached up and pushed under the tent, to empty the roof of water, so the tent wouldn't break. We all laughed , the kids played in the mud, making mud pies bringing back my good childhood memories. It was fun to see the kids play in it.

Celebrations like this, are a great way to bring Family and Friends together with good music, good food and the rain only made it more fabulous, bringing everyone together under the tents to celebrate my Brother's accomplishment of 34 years of teaching :) It was a Blast

So... Now the Summer Parties are over and we have saved those special corks overflowing our kitchen drawers. What do we do with them. Here are a few DIY Cork Craft Projects that I have used my corks to build. If you want to build these projects but don't have corks ... You can buy them on Amazon or at your local wine making store really cheap. The birds will love you for it:)

Instructions:

Roasted Garlic Roasted Acorn Squash Roasted Balsamic Vinegar Fries

 1. All I did to the garlic was cut the top off and drizzled olive oil over the top. The cooking time for this garlic will be only ten minutes so don't forget it in the oven. After the garlic is roasted I squeezed the garlic cloves into a jar of olive oil to save them to add to other dishes. They easily squeeze out after roasting them.
 2. The acorn squash was washed, cut in half, take the seeds out, drizzle with olive oil and set cut side down on the oven roasting pan. This way it will steam itself until soft and yummy.
 3. The seeds I dry out for planting in my friend's garden or you can set them along side the acorn squash in the pan with a little salt to roast them also. These acorn seeds make a healthy midnight snack.
 4. The potato fries I cut with a french fry cutter that I have used for years. You have seen them. You place the potato in and slide the handle against the potato pushing it threw the blades to make perfect fries every time. I got mine at a yard sale for a buck. If you don't have a fry cutter, cut the potatoes length-wise into thin wedges. They will cook just as well that way. Then I put them into a bowl and mixed in the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt/pepper and basil. I wasn't thinking I had rosemary that would have tasted, wow, on these fries. Put your oven on 400 degrees and put all fries ,acorn squash, and garlic into the oven at the same time. The garlic will be done in ten minutes, The acorn squash and fries will take about thirty minutes. Enjoy. Cheap food eating doesn't have to be boring. Thanks a lot for reading. Your comments are always welcome.

Tips For Cheap Food

 • TIP: The best way to know if your squash is good, is by thumping it with your forefinger. If it does not sound hollow than it is too ripe and no good for cooking.
 • Sweet potatoes need to be hard all over. You are buying cheap because of the time of year not quality of your vegetables.
 • If your garlic is spouting all over the top, chances are it is also too old, but if you cut the sprouts off right away, it would be still good to roast.
 • Make sure when you keep garlic cloves in a jar of olive oil, the oil completely covers the cloves or they will spoil. Then you can use them for dips, mix with butter to make garlic toast and anything else you enjoy garlic in. The roasting of the garlic really bumps up the flavor of the bulb.

Coffee Ice Cubes

When I developed heartburn a few years back ,a friend of mine suggested putting ice in my coffee to stop it happening. I thought... I would give this a try. I was delighted that it really does work and have been drinking cold coffee ever since.

The only problem is, the regular ice cubes dilute the coffee.
Then, I thought what would happen if I saved my old coffee ( a very frugal idea) and froze it.
I would not only save money by not dumping it down the drain but brown cubes look and taste great in a coffee. These coffee cubes would look awesome for Christmas in a Kahlua and milk cocktail.

You can also use this trick with Tea or lemon juice, to put lemon juice ice cube in your iced tea.

This is a fun way to get your children to drink more water. Try making ice cubes out of orange juice, apple juice and lemon juice to give them a more healthier drink to have.
Cheers to my readers and bottoms up:)
Don't forget to recycle your old CD's to make sparkly coasters for your drinks. They work great :)

Steps to A healthy,Frugal Roast Turkey Dinner

It has been my experience that shopping on a Tuesdays or Wednesdays saves hundreds of shopping dollars in a year. The major grocery chains usually run specials Saturdays and Sundays to draw you to their store and rid you of your Fridays pay check.

These specials do consists of many products through out the whole store. It is the meat and vegetables left behind after these sales are over that we want to purchase. These leftover piles are in corners of meat counters or stashed in the far corners of the raw vegetable sections of the store.
There is nothing wrong with these meat products except the due date is on the day you are in the store... which means you take it home and cook it that day or freeze it immediately.

The meat will have lovely little 2-3$ off stickers on them to make a faster sale to prevent throwing it out. The vegetables will be bagged up in bunches usually around a dollar a bag because there maybe a black spot on it so it is not perfect and they can't sell it for full price.

Another great way to save is to use coupons that save you 40 cents, 50 cent or even a $1.00 dollar off.
You can clip these from your grocery store flyer's, find them pinned to the shelves with the products you wish to buy or the best way is to download them off the Internet. You can save huge doing this as there are coupons for almost every thing and some products are even free samples coupons to give them a try.
The only product that doesn't have coupons is fresh vegetables and fresh fruit but like I said look for the bags of slightly damages fruit and vegetables cut the bad spot off and use or freeze the rest.
At Christmas time of the year you can usually purchase a turkey for 99 cents a pound. A turkey for twelve dollars ( 99 cents a pound making it a twelve pound turkey), stuffed with fruit or dressing will feed a family of six people easily. For this price it would be a shame not to have a Christmas dinner.
Suzzycue roasted this turkey from frozen and in five hours had a meal of roasted turkey, dressing, roasted butternut squash, roasted beets with garlic and a drizzle of olive oil ,salt/pepper.
Cost per Plate for Thanksgiving or a Christmas Roast Turkey Feast?

You could say less than $3.00. WOW!
Frozen Butterball turkey with dressing -$13.95 divided by six equals $2.35
Butternut squash- $1.00
5 pounds of beets -$1.00
garlic was a gift from my Boss.
I love to take an onion and stick cloves into it with a few apples cut into quarters and stuff into the cavity of my turkey for a different delicious flavor that doesn't dry the meat out at all. Also it helps to cook the turkey upside down in the roasting pan with the turkey breast on the bottom, this keeps the white meat juicy
.
GIFTS: Money is tight for me this year more than last year so with gifts, I had to get a little creative, since I don't knit. So, I shoveled my neighbors driveway. You can dog or cat sit for someone heading south for a vacation. Offer to do odd jobs of gardening in the spring, and walk your brother's dog. I also paint houses inside and out and someone always needs some of that done. So don't spend your hard earned cash on presents, keep that for paying your bills and use your talents for presents to enjoy an old fashioned Christmas.
Have a Good one!!!
